Bobbie's RV Park sits right off Interstate 20 on the east side of Midland, near Greenwood, so you get quiet nights at the park and easy trips into town. Whether you are restocking the camper, grabbing a plate of barbecue, or spending a day with West Texas oil history, you will not have far to go. You do not have to go far for the basics. The Rustic Café is about 3 minutes down I-20 and opens early, perfect for breakfast before a long day on the road. Out along FM 307 in Greenwood, Permian Bakery & Restaurant, a Dollar General and the Tarzan & Jane Travel Center, with fuel and diesel around the clock, are all within about 10 minutes, and Green Acres Mini Golf makes an easy evening out with the kids.
Stock up without the trek.
The Walmart Supercenter on I-20 is about 11 minutes away for groceries, the pharmacy and a propane tank exchange, with Fiesta Foods, Market Street and H-E-B all within about 15 minutes. For propane, Pinnacle Propane is about 10 minutes out. Laundry day is covered at Sunrise Laundry, The Home Depot has the tools and hardware for any fix on the rig, and WesTex Urgent Care is close by if you ever need it.

Midland takes its food seriously. KD's Bar-B-Q, about 9 minutes from the park, is one of the most-reviewed barbecue spots in town, Tanks's Bar-B-Que is another favorite, and Loncheria Rio Bravo serves up Mexican plates on the east side of town. Closer to the park, the Tarzan Grill in Greenwood serves burgers and barbecue.

Catch a movie under the stars at the Big Sky Drive-In, or head indoors to Cinergy Midland South for movies and arcade games. Lucky Strike Midland has bowling, food and drinks, and the historic Yucca Theatre downtown hosts shows in one of the city's most striking buildings. In season, the Midland RockHounds play minor league baseball at Momentum Bank Ballpark.

A little West Texas character.
Midland is the heart of the Permian Basin, and the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, about 12 minutes away on I-20, tells the story of the oil field that built it. The Museum of the Southwest pairs art and regional history with the Blakemore Planetarium, and the Bush Family Home State Historic Site preserves the house where George W. Bush grew up. For fresh air, walk the trails at Sibley Nature Center, visit Watersong Wild Space, let the dog run at Hogan Park, or spend an afternoon downtown at Centennial Park.
